virtual machines (VM) can also alternatively, optionally be imported using the command line.

There are multiple options to import VirtualBox. Choose one.

A GUI Use import Kicksecure VMs using VirtualBox's graphical user interface (GUI) (Oracle VirtualBox VM Manager). This is the most common method for most users. Windows, macOS, Linux ★★★★★
B Installer Use the Kicksecure Linux Installer for VirtualBox. Linux ★★★☆☆
C CLI Use the command line with command line interface (CLI) (see this wiki page).

Use cases:

Importing VMs via the command line is a standard VirtualBox feature using the vboxmanage command. This method is unspecific to Kicksecure.

Command Line VM Import

Optional.

On the Linux platform.

1. Read License Agreement:

Optional. Users who have already read the license agreement can skip this step.

vboxmanage import Kicksecure-Xfce-17.4.4.6.ova --vsys 0 --eula show --vsys 1 --eula show | more

Press the down key to scroll down. Press Q to exit.

2. Import VMs.

The following command imports Kicksecure.

vboxmanage import Kicksecure-Xfce-17.4.4.6.ova --vsys 0 --eula accept --vsys 1 --eula accept

3. Done.
